So when we took Callie to the emergency room last night, we thought maybe something was wrong with her robo leg (she has a titanium leg and she was walking weird). The news was worse though, so much worse and so unexpected. Her kidneys were failing. She could die. As soon as they told us I just checked out because what?! Callie can’t die. She’s so fierce and sassy and bossy and alive. They don’t know if she was poisoned, if she ate something weird or what so we’re working with lack of info. They’re going to flush her system and do blood work. I was just crying all over the place, and when we left the hospital, we said goodbye to her in her little cage while she just gazed at us doing tiny biscuits while laying down. We’re just waiting for more information.
