Callie update!
Last night Callie was in a complete daze and extremely plump from all the fluids in her body. She had a hump from the subcutaneous injection, and nothing seemed to be moving along. She was just dazed. Just sitting in weird spots staring off into the distance. Needless to say, Brittany and I were worried about her. We made her a little cozy bed, and both of us (mostly Brittany) checked on her throughout the night.
This morning we awoke to a whole new kitty. Perky, fluid free, but still sleepy and slow - Callie seems to be feeling a whole lot better! We took her into the sun and she is responding so much better. She even attacked me - a good sign (she gets really playful in the sun, haha.) Brittany administered her 6 am medications, and I’ll be giving her the IV later on. In the mean time my heart feels full just seeing my cat coming back from a shell of herself.
You guys have no idea how much you’ve helped us… you really don’t. Brittany and I have been discussing your complete utter generosity non-stop. Everyone has really pulled together to help us out and even sending you little trinkets doesn’t feel like enough - but please know we admire you so very much. You’ve taught me a HUGE lesson about helping others in their time of need. People have been sending the most thoughtful notes - sending their “frivolous” budget for the month (this kills me), giving up their little joys to help us and I just don’t even have the words to tell you how much this means to us. Sincerely. We love you guys - thank you <3
